When you walk into Adrian Auto Service, LLC, you’re not just entering an auto shop—you’re stepping into a community-minded, family-driven business built on grit, growth, and a lifelong passion for mechanics. Owned and operated by Ryan and Sheena Eidhammer, Adrian Auto has grown from a small-town shop into a trusted full-service automotive and towing provider serving the Adrian, MN area and beyond.

“Mechanics has always been in Ryan’s blood,” Sheena shares. “When he was a kid, he took the family lawnmower apart in his closet just to figure out how it worked—and then put it back together.” That natural curiosity led Ryan through years of hands-on learning. Eventually, an opportunity to partner with longtime Adrian mechanic Jim Reese brought Ryan to Adrian Auto Service, LLC, where he soon became co-owner.

The original shop stood in a much older building— the parking lot right next to the current facility. After Jim Reese’s passing in 2018 and Sheena’s own health journey, Ryan purchased the entire business and began the next chapter of Adrian Auto. It was renamed to Adrian Auto Service, LLC, and in 2021, the Eidhammer family broke ground on a new, expanded shop—and haven’t stopped growing since.

Thanks in part to financing from the Southwest Regional Development Commission’s Revolving Loan Fund (RLF), Ryan and Sheena have continued investing in their facility, equipment, and staff. “We’ve added on to the building more than once—there’s never enough room,” Ryan says with a smile. “We’ve grown so much in such a short time.”

Adrian Auto Service, LLC now offers everything from full diagnostics and muffler repair to full engine repair, oil changes, batteries, and much more. They also run a 24/7 towing service, expanding into heavy-duty wreckers and even a rotator truck to handle semi recoveries and large-scale incidents. Their skilled team of employees are trusted local mechanics who are just as dedicated as Ryan is to keeping Adrian moving.

Sheena handles much of the behind-the-scenes operations now, after working 16 years as a nurse. “It wasn’t what I pictured, but it’s where I needed to be,” she says.

Managing a growing shop with a full family life (the Eidhammer family has three children) isn’t always easy, but Sheena says the rewards outweigh the chaos. “Owning your own business is hard. But being able to do things your way, build something together, and take pride in it—it means a lot.”

Looking to the future, the couple hopes to continue expanding and serving their community. “Our goal is simple,” Sheena says. “Stay busy, keep growing, and take care of our customers. That’s what it’s always been about.”
